ONA: Her Glow Up Goal Tracker
How ONA
works
Updated
The short answer
ONA is an iPhone and Android app for changing your life one area at a time. You score eight areas on a life wheel, pick one and set a small goal for a chapter: 7 days to start. Each day you take one small step toward it, keep up to three daily rituals (a fourth opens at a 7-day streak) and close the evening with a check-in. When the chapter ends, you get a magazine-style issue of it and pick the next area.
01 What is the life wheel?
It’s where your first chapter starts. You score the eight areas of your life from 1 to 10, as they are right now. ONA suggests your lowest area for the chapter, and you can pick any other.
At the end of every chapter you score the wheel again, so you can see what moved, and the next chapter starts from those scores. The wheel of life has more on it, and one you can score yourself.
The eight areas
- Career Work, study, whatever you’re building.
- Health Sleep, food, movement, how your body feels.
- Wealth Money in, money out, and what’s left over.
- Social Family, friends, and how close you actually feel.
- Growth What you’re learning, and who it’s making you.
- Fun What you do purely because you like it.
- Self Image How you talk to yourself when nobody’s listening.
- Home Where you live, and how it feels to come back to.
02 What’s a chapter?
A chapter is one area and one goal: something small and realistic, written in one sentence. Your first chapter is 7 days. Two-week chapters open once you’ve earned 700 Focus XP, and month-long ones at 2,100 (more on XP below).
A chapter counts only the days you log, so a missed day makes it run a day longer, unless you choose to let that day go. You can add a photo to aim for, too.
03 What do you do each day?
Each morning you choose today’s one thing: one real step toward your goal, small enough to finish by tonight. Ticking it off pays 50 Focus XP.
Alongside it you keep up to three daily rituals, small habits that each belong to an area of your wheel. Each tick pays 10 Discipline XP, and a fourth ritual opens once you hold a 7-day streak.
04 What are side quests?
One-off things you’ve been meaning to get to, like cooking something new or swimming somewhere cold. Write your own, give it an area of your wheel and add a photo if you like.
There’s no deadline and no limit. Do them whenever the mood’s right, and each one pays 5 Spark XP. For somewhere to start, there are side quest ideas sorted by area of your life.
05 What happens in the evening check-in?
From 18:00, a button on Home opens the check-in, which closes your day in two steps. First you tick off what happened: the one thing, your rituals and any side quests. It’s fine if that’s none of them.
Then how it felt: a mood from 20 faces, your energy (running low, half full or charged), a line for your journal and a photo of the day. All of it is optional.
Your day is then printed as a card you can keep on your timeline in Progress, or share.
06 How do XP and streaks work?
Everything you tick earns points, called XP, in three kinds: Focus for the one thing, Discipline for rituals and Spark for side quests. A ritual in your chapter’s own area earns Focus XP too, and Focus XP is what opens longer chapters.
Every day you log adds one to your streak. Miss a day and the safety net covers it, so the streak holds. The net comes back 7 days after you use it. Miss another day before then and the streak starts again, unless you fill that day in later. The guide to staying consistent has more on the day you miss.
07 What happens when a chapter ends?
The morning after your last day, your chapter arrives as an issue: a magazine you turn page by page. It has your numbers, your rituals, the steps you took toward the goal, your photos, side quests and moods.
Inside, you score your wheel again. ONA suggests new scores from what you did, and you decide. You answer three questions that only you can see. The last page puts the issue on your shelf, and you can share it as an image.
Then you pick the area for your next chapter. You can also end a chapter early from Settings → Close chapter early.
08 Can you look back at past days?
Yes, in History. Photos shows each day’s photo, or your words or your mood when there isn’t one, and plays your days back as stories. Calendar shows each chapter as a band across the month in its area’s colour. Shelf keeps every past chapter.
09 Does ONA send reminders?
If you want it to. A morning nudge reminds you to choose your one thing, and an evening one reminds you to check in. They come at 08:00 and 21:00 until you change them in Settings. Your phone schedules them itself, and the app works the same without them.
What ONA isn’t
- A to-do list or a planner. One thing a day, and everything else waits.
- A standalone mood tracker or diary. Your mood and journal line are part of each evening’s check-in, inside the chapter you’re in.
- An AI coach or a chatbot. There’s no AI in ONA.
- A vision board maker. Each chapter can have one photo to aim for, and that’s it.
When is another app a better fit?
- To track lots of habits at once, with detailed stats: a dedicated habit tracker.
- To write long journal entries: a journaling app.
- To plan your day hour by hour: a planner or a calendar.
- Not sure? Side by side with Finch, Me+, Habitica and five more says who each is better for.
FAQ
Questions about how it works
Is ONA free?
It’s free to download and set up. To start your first chapter, ONA needs a subscription: monthly, or yearly with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The App Store or Google Play shows the price for your country before you pay. More on the pricing page.
Can I work on more than one area at once?
Not in one ONA chapter: it has one area and one goal. Your rituals and side quests can belong to any area, so the rest of your wheel still gets some attention.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing breaks. The next morning, ONA asks on Home whether to fill the day in or let it go. Leave it open and the chapter runs a day longer, since it counts the days you log, and you can fill it in later from the calendar. The safety net covers one missed day a week, so your streak holds.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no email, password or social sign-in: ONA signs you in anonymously with a random ID. What it keeps, and why, is in the Privacy Policy.
Does ONA use AI or show ads?
No to both. The scores ONA suggests at the end of a chapter come from fixed rules about what you did, and you have the final say.
Which phones does ONA work on?
ONA runs on iPhone with iOS 15 or later and on Android phones. There’s no web version.
What language is ONA in?
ONA is in English, for now.
